Introduction to the Newland Atomizer

The Newland Electric Atomizer is an easy way of producing small liquid droplets by means of high-speed rotation, without need of compressed air or any high pressure.
* Small Droplet Size
* No high pressure needed
* Very low power consumption
* Droplets nearly equally sized
* Gentle spray cloud
The Newland Atomizer consists of a high-speed electric motor rotating a porous cylinder at speeds up to 35,000 rpm. Input liquid runs down the inside of the hollow shaft and into the cylinder. Centrifugal force drives the liquid through the porous material, spreading it evenly on the cylinder's surface. The shearing action of the air against the rotating surface atomizes the liquid into small droplets, which are all of similar size. A circular low-impact spray cloud is created, which can be is adjusted by control of the motor speed.
The Newland Atomizer can accept flow rates up to 20 litres per hour, and will operate in temperatures up to 70°C. The liquid-contacting components are of stainless steel and polypropylene. The porous parts are easily replaceable and disposable.
The Newland Atomizer operates from low-voltage DC (10-25 volts, 2 Amps maximum) allowing easy operation from batteries. A special mains Power Supply is available from Newland Design, for operation from 115/230 VAC, which also provides speed control of the Atomizer. Power consumption is less than 50 Watts.
The Newland Atomizer is useful for:
* Humidification, moisturisation & evaporative cooling
* Odourising, de-odourising & gas scrubbing
* Fuel & Oil Misting
* Dust suppression & anti-static precaution
* Spray coating
